  • Københavns Shakespeare Kompagn (Copenhagen Shakespeare Company) is producing Or, in October.

  • Or, had a reading with Red Bull Theater in May at the Sheen Center on Bleecker Street, directed by GT Upchurch with Rebecca Hall, Santino Fontana, and b.

  • The Alley Theater production of Born With Teeth is running in rep at the Oregon Shakespeare Company now through October. It had a run at Asolo Repertory Theater with the original actors in March 2024.

  • Adams’ portrait from Sally Davies’ photography collection, New Yorkers (Ammonite Press 2021) is in the Museum of the City of New York’s “This Is New York: 100 Years of the City in Art and Pop Culture” exhibit, through July 21, 2024.

  • The Broken Machine had an online reading from the Magic Theater, San Francisco

  • Wild Thyme, an Artistic Stamp “play” in letters, was nominated for a Drama League award for Outstanding Interactive or Socially-Distanced Theater.

  • Taught playwriting (remotely) at Texas Tech University.

2020

  • Visiting Professor of Playwriting Spring 2020 at Indiana University, Bloomington

  • Two scheduled world premieres were postponed by the pandemic (Born with Teeth at the Alley Theatre, Houston, and The Broken Machine at the Magic Theatre, San Francisco). But historical forces were weathered, an election was won, I did not get Covid, so I call 2020 a win.

  • Surviving productions of Or, at Actors Theatre of Columbus, Winnipesaukee Playhouse, and University of Memphis.

  • I wrote several drafts of a (potentially first) novel, working title Margaret and the Djinn in the Plague Year. More to come…

  • A new play, Born with Teeth, had a workshop at the Alley Theater, Houston, this past October, and a reading at the Aurora Theater in Berkeley in September.

  • Wet or, Isabella the Pirate Queen Enters the Horse Latitudes had a reading at a special event hosted by Upstart Creatures in NYC in September.

  • Another new play, The Broken Machine, commissioned by Lehigh University, was produced there in November.

  • Hangar Theatre produced Or, in June (for this production, the title was Or, What She Will).

  • Theodore U. Horger ’61 Artist-in-Residence in the Performing Arts at Lehigh University, 2018–2019

  • Adams’ special Christmas episode of the serial historical fiction Whitehall was published by Serial Box.

  • A newly revised version of Wonders of the Invisible World was read at the Bridge Initiative's Her Voice series, January, Scottsdale, AZ, and had a staged reading at Shakespeare & Company's Winter Studio Festival of New Plays.
